Teen Patti is played by 3-6 players with a standard card deck without jokers. You begin by placing a bet. After the players have placed their bets and the boot amount is collected, each player is dealt three cards face down. Only you know what’s on the cards you have been dealt.

The turn of the player is moved clockwise. When it is their turn, players can call, meaning they will not raise but still stay in the game. Or they can raise, meaning they will bet more money that they can lose. Contrary to the rules of poker, if you call a raise, you have to pay the whole raise amount.

The winner is declared when everyone else has folded or the round is completed by declairing the player with the best hand the winner. The best hand is determined by how good cards the players have.

The Aces are highest ranked and 2s are ranked the lowest. The goal of the players is to have the best hand and to increase the pot size by raising before the game ends. The rankings are as follows, ranking of the hands from highest to lowest:

1. Trail or Set (3 cards of the same)

A Trail or a Set is 3 cards of the same rank. Ass seen below, Aces are the highest and 2’s being the lowest:

2. Straight Flush or Pure sequence

This is 3 consecutive cards from the same suit.

The pair that has the highest value is the best. If the pairs have the same value, the highest card value will determine the winner.

6. Highest Card

If there is no sequence in the card value and the cards are not in the same suit, the highest card will determine the winner. If two players have the same high card, the next highest card is counted to determine the winner.
